Venturing out and about these days with a greater sense of ease, we are reminded how one part of the luxury in the luxury condos in Atlanta, GA, is what a great place Midtown is for enjoying a cup of coffee. Whether with friends, workmates, or just solo while we figure out our next move, we are nestled in a neighborhood that’s a great place for a cup of Joe.
One of our favorite places for coffee in Midtown is a restaurant – Empire State South – rather than a coffee bar, and this one in particular stands out for what it’s done to serve above and beyond the call of duty during these past couple of years of health precautions. Those of us who dwell in the condos in Midtown Atlanta are particularly grateful.
There’s Serving, and Then Serving
Empire State South, at 999 Peachtree Street, is a particularly cozy place to join with friends for coffee or a delicious meal. The setting itself is tasteful, even appetizing, and the indoor/outdoor connection includes a manicured lawn for playing bocce.
During the time of health precautions, when even “coffee out” was not going as usual, Empire State South discovered all kinds of other ways to serve.
To put it bluntly, they prepared boxed meals and fed more than 10,000 people. Working with partners such as the Blank Foundation, Georgia Organics, and World Central Kitchen, these Empire State South meals fed frontline workers and supported low-income senior living centers, where isolation was particularly acute. Meals went to other drop points to be distributed to others in need.
For the rest of us, ESS kept busy offering pre-order goodies, including fine wines and beers, crafted cocktails, and delectable nibbles. On certain weekends, they offered full meals for delivery, inviting us to keep an eye on their website for those updates. Empire State South portrayed a powerful example of the strength and spirit that has placed the Midtown Atlanta condos for sale among the most successful mixed-use, residential-commercial-financial neighborhoods in the nation.
And Serving with Joy
Joy Café turned to takeout and delivery during the pandemic, and since their catering following was always strong, they were prepared with a lot of practice. Even their well-known brunch was served to-go, including mimosa bottle service. For coffee and breakfast bundles delivered to the office, Joy Café is always a favorite, as well as for lunch on a workday. Their weekend brunch is a Midtown tradition.
The Sweet Hut Bakery and Café’s Midtown location, at 935 Peachtree Street, came through the pandemic with flying colors, thanks to sensible precautions and distancing. They even began to offer an app to make takeout orders easier for those who preferred to play it a little safer, a little longer. Coffee here is served with imaginative baked treats – both sweet and savory – such as vanilla buttercream or honey cinnamon roll, or even a classic bacon bun or a BBQ pork puff.
The life among the luxury condos of Midtown includes a matchless coffee scene, and even during those stay-at-home times, this seeming force of nature found ways to keep on serving.
The energy and enterprise exhibited here on any day are a persistent reason people consider Midtown in their lifestyle and investment plans. Give us a call at 404-347-3838, and let’s discuss what this value could mean for you. Or find out more at 40west12th.com.
